Training and development

At Buddle Findlay we expect our solicitors to continually develop their skills.  You will also participate in a series of breakfast or lunchtime seminars which cover a variety of topics including business writing, ethics and confidentiality, opinion writing and court filing.  These seminars also provide you with an introduction to different practice areas, and the wide array of work that the firm does.

In the community

Buddle Findlay prides itself on being a committed corporate citizen.  It actively gives back to the community through its major sponsorships of the Buddle Findlay Sargeson Fellowship and Auckland Festival AK07.

Buddle Findlay has for many years sponsored the popular undergraduate law student Negotiation Competition, which provides students with the opportunity to participate in a negotiation of a transaction or the resolution of a dispute.

In 2005, Buddle Findlay set up the Buddle Findlay Child Health Foundation which is a charitable trust that supports children receiving residential medical care in New Zealand. The Buddle Findlay Child Health Foundation is funded by the partners and staff of Buddle Findlay.
