- Acting for Vend, cloud-based point of sale software provider, on its capital raising rounds
- Acting for Litmos, developer of an online learning management system, on its sale to Callidus Software
- Acting for Yahoo! acquiring daily deal website, Spreets, in Australia and New Zealand
- Acting for daily deal website Groupy on its establishment and shareholding arrangements, and eventual sale to Yellow
- Acting for Trade Me, New Zealand’s premier online auction venue
- Advising First Data Corporation on its acquisition of Peace Software
- Advising the Electricity Commission on the procurement of IT systems and the contracting of 6 service providers for the real time operation of the wholesale electricity market
- Advising Auckland City Council on all legal issues associated with implementing over 20 online services for New Zealand’s largest local authority
- Drafted a Software Development and Distribution Agreement to assist CCH NZ in the market launch of software tool to assist lawyers in relation to property deals
- Drafting and negotiating contracts for Sky Television to implement an interactive personal video recorder (with hard drive etc) on Sky Television’s digital satellite system
- Advising Accident Compensation Corporation on the acquisition of a new enterprise wide claimant management system and related services from FINEOS and other parties
- Advising Government Departments Buying Group on the acquisition of a worldwide virtual private network of IT/Telecommunication services from AT&T
- Advising M-co on the establishment of “Unlisted”, an internet based securities trading facility which now has a market capitalisation of over NZ$1b (www.unlisted.co.nz)
- Acting for New Zealand Police over the last decade on its progressive ICT upgrade programme, including Police’s Computing Infrastructure Replacement Project
- Acting for Sky Television on a wide range of ICT matters including procurement of hardware for Sky’s digital services, telecommunications contracts for data and voice services, transmissions contracts and satellite contracts
- Acting for 3 government departments in the joint procurement of a shared, international managed wide area network from AT&T
