David advises clients on all aspects of environmental and resource management law, attending council hearings, mediations and appearing before the Courts.
David works for a wide range of corporate, individual and both central and local government clients.
David advises clients in the energy and natural resource sectors at both grassroots (resource consents and designations) and strategic (planning, policy and legislative reform) levels.
David has worked on a number of large scale infrastructure projects including prisons, geothermal power stations, wind farms, retail centres and the New Zealand Supreme Court complex. David understands the unique challenges of large projects and has considerable experience working with clients and other experts to ensure that the clients’ outcomes are achieved in the most effective manner.
David works closely with our property team to provide strategic project development advice on property, environmental, public works and local government issues.
David has a particular interest in coastal issues arising from his background in marine ecology. This is of benefit to corporate clients and in assisting the Ministry of Justice with foreshore and seabed issues.
