Michael specialises in banking and finance, insolvency, securities, funds management and insurance (with over 30 years' experience, including 28 as a partner).
Michael acts for various banks in New Zealand and overseas on corporate lending transactions, in particular syndicated and club lending and acquisition finance. He also acts for a number of domestic corporate borrowers.
In the insolvency area he acts for banks on work-outs and for banks and receivers on the enforcement of securities.
He acts for trustee companies and issuers on public issues of debt and participatory securities, unit trusts and group investment funds.
Michael also advises fund managers and financial advisers and acts in insurance matters at both the policy drafting stage and the making of claims.
