Patrick heads Buddle Findlay’s resource management team and environmental law team in Auckland. Patrick has over 17 years litigation experience, having specialised in resource management and local government litigation over the last 13 years.

Patrick advises on environmental, resource management, local government, public law and building issues. He acts as counsel for both local authority and private clients in council hearings, before the Environment and High Courts and the Court of Appeal.  His recent work includes RMA plan change and resource consent cases and appeals, RMA and Building Act prosecutions and declaratory and judicial review proceedings in the High Court and Court of Appeal on environmental issues and administrative decisions of local government.  Patrick has extensive experience with environmental auditing and due diligence

While Patrick specialises in environmental litigation he also works in the general litigation area representing clients in the District and High Court.  His recent litigation work has included insolvency proceedings, urgent injunction proceedings and regulatory prosecution matters.
