Sacha is a member of the corporate and commercial team and specialises in mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial law, securities law and takeovers, including capital markets regulation, disclosure requirements, insider trading, market manipulation and financial adviser rules.
Recently, Sacha has acted for Olam International in its successful takeover of NZ Farming Systems Uruguay, and in relation to its cornerstone investment in Open Country Dairy.
Sacha acted for Z Energy on its NZ$147m bond issue in 2010, and its NZ$150m bond issue in 2011.
Sacha advised Suntory on the acquisition of Frucor Beverages, acted for Imanaka acquiring the assets of Cedenco Foods and has acted for Wellington International Airport and Kiwibank on recent bond issues.
She assisted Pacific Equity Partners and Merrill Lynch on the acquisition of Veda Advantage, and Alliant Energy International on the sale of its New Zealand interests to Infratil.
She acted for Sky Television in its NZ$2.6b merger with INL, its acquisition of Prime Television, and its NZ$200m bond issue.
She regularly provides advice to listed issuers Infratil, Salvus, Sealegs, and New Image.
Sacha spent 3 years in Hong Kong and Singapore working for Linklaters, advising on cross-border acquisitions and capital markets transactions.
Sacha has lectured in securities regulation at the law faculty of the University of Auckland.
Sacha has a special interest in assisting start up companies with establishment, shareholder arrangements and capital raising. She has assisted Groupy, from formation through to its acquisition by Yellow. She acted for Yahoo! on its acquisition of Spreets, and assisted Vend in relation to the investment by Southgate Labs. She acted for Litmos on its acquisition by Callidus Software. She continues to advise a number of young companies in the digital space
Sacha is a member of the Institute of Directors, and of INFINZ. She is the Investment Sector Leader on the Japan New Zealand Business Council.
