Summer Clerk Programme

Summer clerks begin with us mid-November and work through to mid-February. We employ a select group of summer clerks, which means you get to do real work that contributes to the success of your team. During the summer you'll be placed in two different practice areas of the firm, under the supervision of a senior member in your team.

Professional Development

We place a strong emphasis on learning and on providing lawyers with a broad range of skills as well as interesting and challenging work. Through your involvement over summer in the day-to-day dealings with the firm, you will gain a sound understanding of how a large corporate law firm operates.

In early 2003 we launched our new professional development programme, combining on-the-job experience, training and seminars to ensure our lawyers gain all the legal and non-legal skills they need to succeed in their career. This tool assists lawyers to identify specific needs they have at each career level, and enables us to design a programme of training and experience to help fulfil those needs.
