Amy is a health law specialist. She works with a wide range of health sector clients advising on all aspects of health law including the management of complaints and adverse events, treatment issues (including consent to treatment, competency issues and mental health), health information and privacy, Health and Disability Commissioner investigations and reports, Coronial inquiries and inquests, policy review and development, the regulation of health professionals, and employment issues.
Amy advises on, and represents clients in, commercial, employment and health related litigation, including matters before the Employment Relations Authority, applications for judicial review, and professional disciplinary matters.

Working on secondment
as in-house counsel for a large District Health Board
Assisting various health sector clients
in responding to consumer complaints, Health and Disability Commissioner investigations, and coronial inquiries
Advising on the credentialing of health practitioners and health services, and on various employment issues
including making notifications to the Medical Council of New Zealand and other responsible authorities
Providing urgent advice
on the withholding of active treatment in the context of family opposition
Providing employment law advice
including assisting organisations with disciplinary and performance management issues, and representing clients in mediation and claims before the Employment Relations Authority
