Katie specialises in financial regulation, payment law (including clearing and settlement systems), application of consumer laws to financial products, financial and energy derivatives, capital markets, funding agreements, corporate governance, company and commercial law.
Katie has significant experience advising financial institutions on payments systems (including designated clearing and settlement systems) and products, compliance with financial regulation (such as anti-money laundering, financial service providers and financial advisers), derivatives (including associated netting issues) and Reserve Bank of New Zealand banking standards. In addition, she advises on corporate governance, company and commercial law and capital markets issues.
Katie has advised a wide range of different clients from startups through to banks and other large global organisations on their regulatory compliance and contractual arrangements. She also advises corporates, government agencies, industry bodies and regulators in her areas of expertise.
