David is a member of our banking and finance team. He specialises in transactional banking, structured finance, property finance and advisory work (acting predominantly for banks and financial institutions). With recent New Zealand law changes, David plays a key role in advising financial institutions and other credit providers on changes to consumer credit and personal property law.
Insolvency law and business restructuring continues to be a significant part of David’s practice and he regularly advises domestic and foreign banks, insolvency professionals and other organisations on receiverships, liquidations and workouts.
David is Chairman of INSOL New Zealand and an active member of INSOL International. He is on the committee of the Insolvency Special Interest Group of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of New Zealand.
