Profile

Jan leads the Christchurch banking and financial services team.  She has particular expertise in regulatory compliance including governance and prudential supervision, financial markets and conduct, financial advisers, personal property securities, anti-money laundering and credit contracts legislation.  Jan regularly acts for New Zealand and overseas banks, mutuals and local authorities.  She is also a member of the firm's insolvency team and provides advice to lenders and insolvency practitioners on mortgagee sales, receiverships, liquidations, administrations and workouts.

Her clients include most of the major banks, building societies, credit unions, finance companies, local authorities and private sector companies.

Jan is an editor of the banking chapters of Lexis Nexis New Zealand's publication 'Commercial Law in New Zealand' and Thomson Reuters' 'Practical Law, Banking Regulation Global Guide'.
