Profile

Syavie is a corporate lawyer, specialising in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), private equity, overseas investment, equity capital raising, venture capital, shareholder arrangements, employee shareholding arrangements and corporate governance.

Syavie advises large local and international corporates, leading private equity firms, early stage growth companies and founders.  Syavie has experience in cross border M&A having acted on a number of global cross border and multi-jurisdictional transactions in New Zealand and abroad.  

Syavie also has experience acting for issuers in initial public offerings and stock exchange listings, and for listed companies in M&A, secondary capital raisings and listing rules advice.

He has worked abroad for six years, gaining international experience in the London office of US law firm Latham & Watkins and in the Sydney office of leading independent Australian law firm Gilbert + Tobin.
