We are New Zealand's leading adviser to cooperatives and mutuals.  The significance of the cooperative sector is not often appreciated.  According to research commissioned by the UN in 2013/14 cooperatives in New Zealand:

  • Comprise 20% of New Zealand's GDP

  • Have the highest ratios of gross revenue to GDP, and employees to population, in the world.

We advise cooperatives, mutual, and businesses operating on cooperative principles on a full range of issues, including establishment, capital structure and constitutional issues, securities and financial law compliance, operational issues and mergers and acquisition.

We also advise Cooperative Business New Zealand, the industry body for the sector on all legislative and regulatory issues affecting the sector.
