Buddle Findlay is pleased to be acting for the Bank of New Zealand (BNZ) on the ongoing redevelopment of 80 Queen Street, Auckland with Stage Two now complete.

Stage Two delivers new contemporary community floors – including an expansive grandstand, outdoor terrace, café space and wellness facilities.  This work continues the transformation of one of Auckland’s most prominent commercial addresses and forms a key part of BNZ’s vision ahead of final completion in 2026.

Delivered while the building remained fully operational, the redevelopment required careful, staged planning and close coordination across the project team to manage construction activity in a live environment.  Buddle Findlay worked closely with the BNZ team (notably Kelly Galbraith, Stephen Horn and Anthony Parkin) and project partners RCP, RDT Pacific, NDY and Holmes to support the programme through its complexities.

The Buddle Findlay team was led by partner Daniel Kelleher and senior associate Ed McGimpsey.
