Buddle Findlay Advises DIA On Shared Service Platform For Issuance Of Digital Credentials

Buddle Findlay is proud to have advised The Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) on the shared service platform for the issuance of digital credentials announced by Digitising Government and Public Service Minister Judith Collins.

In her announcement, Minister Collins explained how the platform will enable New Zealanders to share data contained in their Verified Digital Credentials, such as date of birth or passport number, without the need to provide certified copies of their physical documents.  The Minister also announced that the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) will be among the first agencies to use the platform to trial the issuance of NZBN digital credentials.

We're looking forward to seeing government agencies being able to provide options for New Zealanders in the way they can choose to verify their identity and share their personal details.
