Buddle Findlay is pleased to have advised Pioneer Energy Group Limited Partnership on its recent transaction involving a significant investment by Māori-led consortium Tōtara Energy Limited Partnership.  

The transaction involved Tōtara Energy acquiring a 30% interest in Pioneer Energy Group, marking a key milestone for Pioneer Energy Group and for Māori investment in New Zealand's renewable energy sector.

Pioneer Energy Group is an innovative energy solutions provider that operates nationwide, with sites spanning from Auckland to Bluff.  The group has a diverse portfolio of assets and partnerships, including renewable energy such as hydro, wind and waste to energy schemes, alongside industrial energy solutions and renewable fuel supplies.  The investment by Tōtara Energy will support Pioneer Energy Group’s ongoing growth and development, enabling the partnership to continue delivering innovative energy solutions across the country.
