We are pleased to announce the appointment of five new senior associates in our Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch offices.
In the Auckland office, Alastair Pettitt specialises in commercial property and local government law. He advises local authorities, Crown entities, banks and corporates on a range of real estate matters including property development, local government issues, compulsory acquisitions, commercial leasing, acquisitions and divestments, subdivisions of land and property finance.
Danielle Kelly specialises in banking and finance law and has a broad range of experience across domestic and international financing transactions. She acts for both lenders and borrowers and has represented a number of banks, corporates, financial institutions and private equity firms. Danielle has particular expertise in leveraged and acquisition finance, corporate lending, debt restructuring and real estate and development finance.
Sarah Chin has joined the corporate and commercial team. She specialises in corporate and commercial law, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, overseas investment, corporate governance and commercial contracts. Prior to joining Buddle Findlay, Sarah worked at a large national commercial law firm.
In the Wellington office, Ana Coculescu has joined the environment and resource management team. Ana advises both private sector clients and government clients on resource management law, contaminated land, local government law, environmental due diligence, waste and acquisition of land for public works. Prior to joining Buddle Findlay, Ana practised environment and planning law in New South Wales for nearly 10 years.
In the Christchurch office, Shaun Brookes specialises in employment law, industrial relations, and health and safety, as well as dispute resolution and general litigation. He is an experienced litigator who appears in the Employment Relations Authority and Employment Court, the District Court and High Court, and at mediation on behalf of clients.
