Our dedicated national TMT team offers unrivalled depth of experience across the full spectrum of information technology, e-commerce, media and entertainment, digital, telecommunications, and privacy.
We advise on some of the largest and most complex IT procurement and implementation projects in New Zealand, in both the private and public sectors. We have worked with clients investing significantly in IT and digital services and hardware, and with businesses delivering IT systems and solutions to the market, including a number of early stage and high growth technology companies. We are a key provider on the All of Government panel for legal services, working closely with a number of government agencies and local authorities on significant IT projects.
Our experience working with both IT suppliers and customers means we see both sides of the coin and allows us to provide valuable insights into market trends and best practice and more effectively help our clients reach successful outcomes.
Many of our clients’ technology needs involve ingesting discrete technology and software components to incorporate into a broader customer offering, requiring a consistent and ‘bigger picture’ approach across a multitude of software licence and SaaS terms. We adopt a holistic view to those projects, working with clients to define their minimum requirements and preferred positions, and ensuring that contract reviews, legal advice and negotiations are focused only on the issues that really matter to them.
Our work in the media sector involves working with media companies and television and film producers in relation to the development, production and distribution of television programs and films.
