Privacy continues to be a hot topic for employers around the country and as the Office of the Privacy Commissioner has said, the new Privacy Act 2020 offers organisations a chance to "reset" and make sure they get things right.
Buddle Findlay is delighted to invite you to our national privacy in employment webinars on Tuesday 22 September 2020. We will be hosting two sessions, one in the morning (8.00am start) and one in the afternoon (4.00pm start).
The webinars will address the upcoming Privacy Act 2020, with a particular focus on what employers need to know and do. Topics will include:
- A summary of the key changes coming in the new Act
- Guidance on managing privacy breaches within your organisation, including when you need to make mandatory breach notifications and how to deal with any concurrent HR or disciplinary issues that may arise
- Tips on responding to Privacy Act requests, including from aggrieved employees
- Privacy and social media in employment.
The morning presenters will be Sherridan Cook, Allan Yeoman and Mere King. The afternoon presenters will be Hamish Kynaston, Peter Chemis and Holly Hedley.
Registration closed.
