Jennifer specialises in environment and resource management, and local government, with extensive experience as a strategic adviser and specialist litigator in the Environment Court, High Court and higher courts. She is a leading New Zealand lawyer advising on consent and designation projects and strategic planning processes.
Jennifer advises a wide range of public and private sector organisations. She has assisted local government, health and energy sector clients to obtain resource consent for major infrastructure projects, including the America's Cup Viaduct Basin, Auckland City Art Gallery, the Auckland City Hospital, and the Wairakei geothermal power station.
Jennifer was a principal legal adviser to Auckland City Council prior to amalgamation, and is now lead adviser to Auckland Council on the development of the first Unitary Plan for Auckland. In 2007 she took up an in-house position as Legal Director with ALDAR Properties PJSC, the largest publicly listed property and infrastructure developer in Abu Dhabi, UAE, returning to Buddle Findlay in 2012. Her experience in-house and in private practice gives her unique insights into the efficient and effective provision of legal services to complex clients.
