Julia is a commercial partner with a focus on a range of property transactions. She has acted for both public and private sector clients in numerous acquisitions (including residential and business park development sites, existing commercial buildings and large scale hotel acquisitions) and divestments. She has also advised on associated development funding, construction contracts and leasing arrangements. Julia has expertise in the growing market of carbon forestry and frequently advises on complex and technically challenging commercial property transactions.
Julia also has particular expertise in trust law and frequently advises both private and institutional clients in relation to a wide range of trust matters, including in relation to:
- Discretionary and charitable trust establishment
- Variation, resettlement and winding up advice
- Technical legal opinions
- Charities law (including the incorporation and registration of charitable trusts under the applicable legislation)
- Compliance with the Trusts Act 2019.
