Matthew has over twenty years experience in transactional finance law with a practice concentrating on syndicated and bilateral secured lending transactions with a particular focus on property development finance, hotel finance (development and acquisition) and ETS carbon forest finance transactions.
He advises domestic and international banks and corporate borrowers on bilateral and multi-lateral facilities (syndicated and club arrangements) including advice on structuring and implementing finance arrangements in relation to carbon forests and the New Zealand Emissions Trading Scheme.
He also has significant experience in NZ insolvency, debt restructuring and security enforcement transactions and advises receivers, administrators, liquidators and lenders on insolvency and security realisation transactions.
