Buddle Findlay is pleased to have acted as New Zealand counsel to Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) on new debt facilities provided by CBA to Sports Entertainment Group (SEG) to support its NZ$130m acquisition of the New Zealand MediaWorks business.
The acquisition brings MediaWorks' radio and media assets under SEG's ownership, growing SEG's trans-Tasman footprint.
The Buddle Findlay team advising CBA was led by partner Paul Farrugia, and included senior associate Seamus Barnett and solicitor Ben Allan. CBA was advised in Australia by Peter Kay and Devesh Chauhan of HWL Ebsworth.
