Buddle Findlay is proud to announce that senior associates Amy Cunniffe and Jenna Silcock, along with senior solicitor Maria Clezy have been included in the inaugural NZ Lawyer Rising Stars list for 2020.
The list honours young legal professionals making waves in the industry and is a fantastic achievement that sets these young lawyers apart, acknowledging them as lawyers to watch. The award recognises both their ability to demonstrate leadership, along with their achievements in the legal profession.
We are delighted that our young lawyers are being recognised within the industry for the exceptional work that they do. Congratulations to our three 2020 Rising Stars:

Jenna Silcock is a member of the Christchurch litigation team specialising in environment and resource management and local government law. Jenna has excellent technical skills, a proven ability to manage complex projects and an advanced understanding of legal concepts, possessing and exhibiting all of the skills required to make an excellent lawyer and leader in the profession.
Maria Clezy is a specialist in the national taxation team based in Auckland. She has advised on many of New Zealand’s market leading mergers and acquisitions in recent years and developed a reputation for having an exceptional understanding of the taxation intricacies of a diverse range of complex commercial transactions. At this early stage of her career she has been identified as a future leader of the profession and recognised by World Tax in both 2019 and 2020 as “Highly Regarded”, an accolade that is typically awarded to only the most senior taxation specialists.
