Abbott Laboratories has completed its purchase of Synlait Milk's North Island assets effective 1 April 2026. Buddle Findlay advised Abbott on all aspects of this transaction, including a legal due diligence, all transaction documentation and regulatory advice.
Abbott is a global healthcare leader. Abbott’s portfolio of life-changing technologies spans the spectrum of healthcare, with leading businesses and products in diagnostics, medical devices, nutritionals and branded generic medicines.
The transaction includes Synlait’s Pōkeno manufacturing facility and Auckland-based blending, canning, and warehousing operations, along with associated inventory and leasehold arrangements.
