Buddle Findlay announces three new partners

1 January 2021

Buddle Findlay is pleased to announce the appointment of three new partners.

Buddle Findlay's new partner appointments continue to build depth and expertise across banking and finance, corporate transactions and corporate law and commercial property.  The three new partners receive praise from clients and the wider Buddle Findlay team for their talent and collaborative approach to working.  Each bring a focus that enhances the firm's ability to deliver the highest level of service to clients and demonstrate the qualities that Buddle Findlay looks for in their leaders.

The firm's three new partners are:

Daniel Collins.  Daniel specialises in banking and finance and has extensive experience working in New Zealand, the Asia Pacific and the Middle East.  Daniel regularly advises on a broad range of domestic and cross-border financing transactions from front-end structuring and implementation right through to back-end refinancing solutions, restructuring and insolvency.  Based in Auckland, he recently advised senior lenders to Southern Cross Cables.

Renee Stiles.  Renee specialises in information and communication technology, corporate transactions and regulatory compliance, payments, procurement and outsourcing in the financial sector.  Renee advised Infratil and Brookfield on their $3.4b acquisition of Vodafone NZ.  Renee is a member of Buddle Findlay's Wellington corporate and commercial team.

Julia Gabrielle.  Julia specialises in general commercial and corporate law, banking and finance and commercial and residential property.  She frequently advises on commercial property acquisitions, leasing, financing (including refinancing, commercial and private lending) and corporate and private structuring.  As a member of the Christchurch office, Julia has recently been involved in numerous commercial property acquisitions and advised on associated development funding and leasing arrangements in the post-earthquake Christchurch property market.

Across our key areas of expertise and the three offices, Buddle Findlay now has 45 partners.

The firm congratulates the three new partners on their appointments.
