Buddle Findlay is delighted to have advised the founders of Letterboxd, a global social platform for film discovery and discussion, on the sale of a majority position in Letterboxd to listed Canadian technology holding company Tiny Ltd. The transaction completed on Friday 29 September 2023.
Founders Matthew Buchanan and Karl von Randow will continue to lead the business independently while utilising the additional resources available through its partnership with Tiny as the platform looks ahead to its next phase of growth.
The Buddle Findlay team was led by corporate partner Nick Bragg alongside TMT partner Allan Yeoman with assistance from specialists from across the firm including tax partner Tony Wilkinson, corporate team members Amy Goatley and Hayley Shallard, and Keri Johansson from the TMT team.
